I was arrogant. I was lucky. Indian children that didnt participate were accepted, those who were smart werent. To help Indian children like him, Alexie went and visited schools to teach children to read and write. By doing this Alexie hoped that he would effect change. Now that Alexie is an Adult, he tries to help the children look past the stereotypes to help them excel in the real world.
